giggles

The math program that I am using in my class includes a short animated clip that the kids can watch before each section. It is fun, and colorful, and changes things up a bit which I love! The first few weeks of school have been focused on procedures and reviewing the things that they learned in kindergarten, so today I began to introduce the program.

I pulled up the program and waited for the video to open. I had told the students that when they saw a butterfly they would know that it was a first grade video, because that butterfly is our first grade friend.

The lights were off and all the kids were on the edge of their seats (literally) waiting for the butterfly to make an appearance. They waited. and waited. and waited. I was trying to figure out what was going on, it just wasn't working. Right then the phone rang and one little boy yelled out "IT'S THE BUTTERFLY CALLING US!" It was too cute. I laughed.

We never got the video to work, but I got that adorable comment, so it makes it worth it!

Man, we need to get that butterfly program of yours working! I'm glad that it turned out funny though. I hope the butterfly had nice things to say to your class. :)

You need to keep a little quote book by your desk. Those sayings will be priceless some day. I wish I had written down all of my good ones. Kids are truly funny!

LOL! Yeah - I hate when technology fails us. :P That's too cute! Sometimes I'm sad that my old kids never say those cute things.
