Not what you expect to wake up to on Saturday morning

This is our cat, Stella. She is a very funny cat. She seems to think that she is a dog, which is entertaining. We like her. Most of the time.

At a very early hour this morning I woke up to a knock at my door. I heard "Can you come up stairs, there's a bird in the house!". I was extremely confused. I ran upstairs, and sure enough, there was a large, black & white bird flying around. That silly cat had chased a bird through our screen. (Just so you know, birds poop a lot when they get in stressful situations, like being stuck inside of a house)

Between a box and a piece of peg board we managed to catch the bird and release it out front. It flew away like nothing had happened. I am sure the neighbors were watching, thinking that we are nuts.

I am just glad that there was a happy ending. Do you remember the similar incident that happened last year when I was house sitting? Much more blood, and not such a happy ending. Ewwww . . . so disgusting. I really do like birds, just so long as they are not in my house or over my head.

After that there was no going back to sleep. So we took advantage of the perfect weather and went on a hike.

I'm going to miss this part of summer!

haha that still makes me laugh. I hope all the bird poop is finally cleaned up now :) Hopefully you won't find anymore random drops around the house.

Oh wow. I guess your kitty just loves you and wanted to give you all a gift. :P That's pretty funny - but I'm sure it wasn't too fun to clean up (YUCK!). The hike looks so gorgeous. :)

When I was in college, someone threw a duck into our apartment. It's true, when they are scared they poop a LOT! (I need to write about that one.) That was the main thing I remembered too! Glad you got the situation resolved without any bloodshed.

We once chased a bird out of my husbands parents' house. All of us were on chairs tryng to make a wall to force the bird out the window. It was quite funny to see!
