Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake

Back-to-School night went well, much better than I had anticipated. It was not nearly as nerve-wracking as I had thought it would be.

And we survived the first day! I think it went as well as a first day can go when you are teaching a roomful of kids who have never carried a lunch tray, or stayed at school all day before. We did have one small identity mix up, but it got cleared up before the day was half over.

And I must say, my students are ADORABLE. Seriously. I can already tell it is going to be a great year. One of them asked me if it was going to be night time when we got out of school. They are too cute!

I have decided that every teacher deserves a slice of this on the first day of school:

I know chocolate can't fix everything, but it sure made my day better!
