Skiing

I always liked skiing as a child. I didn't go often, but it was always something I looked forward to. Then I grew up, and life got busy. Plus, skiing is expensive, and it is hard to find people who will go with you (I know that snowboarding is the cool thing to do for my generation, but there is no way I am sliding down a hill with BOTH feet attached to a board. YIKES!)

Because of all this, I have not been skiing in at least five years. When the opportunity came to go last week, I jumped. I was a little worried that I would spend more time on the ground than actually skiing, but I was excited anyway.

After I made it off the lift I felt pretty good. The hill seemed pretty daunting, but I made it down the first time. It was wonderful! I spent around three hours skiing, and loved every minute of it. I also didn't fall once. I was pretty proud of myself!

So even though I hadn't been in years, the fact still remains - I truly love skiing. It is exhilarating, freeing, and exciting. I hope it's not another five years before I make it back.

I think it's funny my mom loved to ski. I never would have known. :)

Such a cute picture! I'm glad you had such a great time. Every year Steve and I say we'll go (he's never been before, and it's been about 8 years since I went last) but I remember it being so fun! Congrats on not even falling once... that's impressive!
