December 29th - 2009. I always wanted to be an aunt. Actually, I always wanted baby brothers and sisters, but when it became evident that wasn't going to happen, I turned my sights to niece's and nephew's instead. It took a while. I waited and waited. I was in Brazil when I found out that Liz and Karl were expecting. I was thrilled - and a bit disappointed that I wouldn't be there when the cute little booger was born. I was afraid that she would be afraid of me when we finally met, and wouldn't let me hold her.
She was four months old when I came home. I walked off the plane, gave my mom a huge hug, and then reached for my baby. Oh, she was a cutie. It was love at first sight! She smiled at me, and stared at me, and I knew we were going to be great friends. It was a great moment.
On a side note - look at how much blond my hair had in it after all that sun! Crazy!

I do love that picture. Maddie really was excited to meet you. I was never worried she wouldn't like you, even if you were. :)

Katie, i AM looking for roommates in the near future. I have to move out of my apartment by April 30 and don't know where I'm going. I live in Maple Valley right now. I love having the pool and rent is cheap ($230-$250 a month). Want to live together?? :)
