Well, I made it through the first week of Feel Great in Eight. It was the week of parent-teacher conferences as well, and I had a nasty sinus infection, so probably not the greatest first week. But I managed okay. Here are a few observations from the week:
- After a four month hiatus from exercising, if felt really good to get back to it (once I got past all the achy muscles). I still find running to be the most enjoyable workout.
- Eating all four servings of vegetables is my biggest challenge.
- Drinking all my water is probably the easiest part.
- I got up when my alarm went off every day, and I hated it (I'm hoping my alarm clock and I can become friends over this eight week process)
- I miss dark chocolate. *sigh*
One week down, seven more to go. This week has already been going better. With the exception of the whole dark chocolate thing, I am liking the way that the challenge is making me feel!
Point total for week one: 1395

I'm still impressed. I need to be more diligent myself.
I agree with you on everything, except hating the alarm because mine goes off MUCH later than yours. And the fact that I'm pretty good at getting all 4 servings of veggies but the water just kills me. And I don't like running. So maybe the only things I really agree with you on is that I like the challenge, it's going well, and I miss dark chocolate something fierce. :)
Katie, where do you live and would you by chance need a roommate come May?
Way to go! Man - sinus infections must be going around (all the smog?) - my husband and I both have one. Keep up your good work!
Way to go Katie!
