(I was searching for a baby picture to use for this post and came across this one. The way I photograph hasn't changed much over the years!)
I'm not a big Facebook user, but when I saw this application I couldn't pass it up. You put your name into a database, and it grades your parents' creativity in naming you. Here is what it said about my parents:
Ranking - 'Katie' was the 39th most popular girl's name in your birth year.
Rarity - 64% of girls had rarer names that year. (Grade: D+)
Peak year - 'Katie' peaked in popularity in 1986.
Current rank - 'Katie' is currently the 128th most popular girl's name.
Current name - Your parents might name you 'Riley' today (current #39).

I thought it was so funny! I, personally, would give my parent's a much better grade than a D+. I rather like my name, and it fits well. I was supposed to be a Diana until I arrived with a bunch of red hair and a fiery personality. Somehow, I don't think Diana would have quite fit, so I think they made a good choice. And I REALLY can't see myself as a Riley, so it's a good thing I was born in 1985 and not 2010!

That is pretty funny. I guess I also got a D since we named our daughter Katie. I wonder if "Katherine" gets the same grade. Guess I'll have to check!
I think I want to take that quiz! He he. And I agree, Katie fits your perfectly... you are no Riley! :)
haha that's funny. If your mom got a D for the 39th most popular name then I would get like an FFFFF for Madison since it was like #2 the year she was born...
I'm personally glad you weren't named Diana. I don't think we could have been friends if that were the case. :-)
Just kidding. (That sounded more rude than I meant it to.)
