I have found myself in a blogging funk lately. I can't seem to figure out what to write. It could likely be that my life has been consumed by teaching, or that the ridiculously cold temperatures have driven me inside to a life of a hermit. Either way, I have decided to borrow my friend Holly's idea and do Favorite Photo Friday each week. This way some of my favorite photo's (which I have never scrapbooked, because I am not crafty like that) will end up in my blog book at the end of the year. So without further ado, I present to you my first official photo of favorite photo Friday:
I am sure many people will look at that picture and think, "Really, you couldn't come up with a better one?" But this is one of my all time favorite pictures! Shortly before I left for Brazil we did sibling pictures for my Mom for Mothers Day. The photo shoot led to many truly good pictures, but this is the one that really stood out. I mean, check out the boys on the front row, they look so tired and confused. Then check out the girls in the back row. You have Liz, who is ALWAYS smiling and laughing, almost glaring at the camera (though she was in a great mood that day, which makes the picture even funnier!) I'm talking, and Lacey is doing what I call the ultimate "super-model" look. In reality, no one knows what she was doing.
This is one of those pictures that I look at and just can't help laughing. Any day I need a little boost I can look at it and smile, which is why it ended up as my favorite. You could never stage a picture like this. It is simply a classic!

Oh, yes. This is definitely one of our best pictures ever! I LOVE it! It always makes me giggle. :) I like the favorite photo Friday idea... maybe next year. :) And as for your blogging funk... I'm still waiting to hear about your car. :)

oh katie how i do love this photo. and i took it! yay! at least i think i did. also, this would have been one of those candid shots i did. and you were in the middle of telling me something as i was checking the lighting. sweet.
