Feel Great in Eight

The new year (and decade) has arrived! To start the year off right I have decided to participate in the "Feel Great in Eight" challenge (click here for more info). The Feel Great in Eight program is an eight week program that promotes healthy eating and exercising, along with spiritual health. You earn points for eating healthy foods, exercising, reading your scriptures, praying, etc. You lose points for eating unhealthy foods. (I just realized that there really aren't many ways to lose points, you just don't earn them if you don't do the good things)

For me, this is not a challenge to lose weight, but I would like to feel healthy again (both spiritually and physically!) I have gotten so caught up in teaching that I have not had a real workout since August. I am also hoping that this challenge will help get me over my unhealthy attachment to my snooze button.

I have other goals for this year as well (like finally going skydiving, learning how to budget, and beginning to collect food storage) but I am really excited about this feel great in eight. I think it is exactly the thing I need to get over the January blues, and off to a fresh start!

Sounds like a great idea! I never seem to find the time to take care of myself and I need to!

I'm way excited for this... really, I often need extra motivation and this should be good. Steve's even going to do it with us! :)

That sounds great! I really, really want to do a half marathon this spring/summer. So if you'd like to join me let me know. I found out the Ogden one is sold out but there is one in SLC in April (although it's kind of pricey), and in Utah Valley in June. I'm not sure if Logan is doing their annual one right before the marathon because I couldn't find it on their site. That would probably be in the fall anyway, and I want to do one sooner. Let me know!!
