Jellyfish, stingrays & a free ice cream sundae

Today my friend Kim took me to Salt Lake for my birthday. I didn't know what we would be doing when we got there, she just told me to be ready at 2:00 this afternoon. I took advantage of the drive to Salt Lake and had Kim help me translate some things into Portuguese. Between both of us we managed to get it all done! It was great!

First, we stopped at an aquarium. I was so excited!!! I was even more excited when we met up with my friend, Charisse. I rarely get to see Charisse, so that was a GREAT present! We enjoyed walking around the exhibits. We found three fish that WOULD NOT leave each others sides! It was like they were best friends. It made me laugh, and I made the comment that it was like us. Can you see the resemblance?

Of the whole aquarium, my favorites were the Foureyed Fish (Seriously so cool, but difficult to get a picture) and the Jellyfish. I find Jellyfish fascinating!

I also got to pet a stingray. I was a bit hesitant at first, but I can't pass up opportunities to pet things! They have a pool that has three or for stingrays, and a couple of fish along with instructions on how to pet them. You only use two fingers and pet the tops of their wings. I had to practically jump in to reach the stingray. Those pools are not made for short people! When I pulled my arm out of the water it was wet all the way up to my sleeve. Totally worth it! Stingrays are very smooth and soft! Very cool!

Afterward, we went to TGIFriday, one of my favorites, for dinner. I even got a free ice cream sundae! All I had to do was endure 30 seconds of humiliation as the staff sang to me. They told me that I had to turn red to earn the ice cream. Not hard for me to do.
