My Totally-Harry-Potter Experience

My last post was long enough (and this experience cool enough) that I decided to dedicate a whole post to it.

While we were at the zoo the other day we went into the reptile exhibit. In the reptile exhibit there was a HUGE Boa Constrictor behind a large glass window. I went over to look at it because I found it oddly intriguing. It was a seriously huge snake!

Just then, it's head popped up, and it looked my straight in the eye. (seriously, I am not making any of this up!) It hissed, all the while keeping eye contact. I expected the glass to disappear right then and there. It's a good thing it didn't, however, because as much as I love Harry Potter, I am really not a fan of snakes.

Instead, something equally creepy happened (okay, not equally creepy, but it was still weird). After the snake hissed at me a second head appeared out of the middle, and the snake began unraveling and became TWO snakes. Okay, I know that there were two snakes there the whole time, but the way it happened was seriously weird!

Here are some other zoo pictures that I found on my other camera (yes, I carry both around with me)

Pretty Lizzie

This is what happens when I am teaching Maddie to use one camera while Liz has the other. See, two camera's come in handy!

I hadn't heard that story! If the glass had disappeared I would have been looking for a lightning shaped scar on your forehead the next time I saw you! :)

I love it. You make me laugh. I wouldn't have thought of the snake part without you mentioning it but I do have to agree it was very HPish.

I have to admit I had similar feelings when we were at the zoo going through the snake exhibit. It was a bit creepy.
