They Don't Have Fun Band-Aid's Anymore!

Yesterday we had a day off from school.  I headed to the health department to get some shots.  Luckily, between all my previous travels I have had most vaccines already.   All I needed to do was get boosters for Tetanus and Typhoid.  Not bad, not bad at all!  Though the absence of bright and colorful Band-Aid's made me quite sad!

Why am I getting shots?  No, I am not a really weird person who finds joy in being used as a pin cushion.  In just over a month I am heading to GUATEMALA for the summer.  I will be teaching English to children of Mayan decent during the week, and backpacking around Central America over weekends and school breaks.  I am super excited to get to be immersed in a different culture, get to know new people, and hopefully improve my Spanish speaking skills!

Guatemala, Here I come!
