Friday the little girls all went back to the Magic Kingdom with their parents while I went with my parents and Eric to Epcot. I am not sure why, but Epcot always ends up being one of my favorite days. It is more relaxed than the other parks, and seems to match my personality really well. I just enjoy it!
There was only one real ride we went on (which was fantastic!) but the real magic of Epcot is the world tour. The ability to roam around the world in a matter of hours is quite fun!
We went through Central America,
Dad and Eric enjoyed Fish and Chips, while mom and I polished off our treasures from a Parisian cafe (where I may have swooned over the french waiter who helped us. Good grief, what is it with accents?)
We also watched a show about the United States, the events that led us to becoming a nation and the major events that have happened since. I was amazed! It left me feeling so proud to be an American! While we were waiting to get in I saw this painting:
It is a painting of Walt Disney praying at the dinner table where he is entertaining guests from around the world. This struck me. I feel like we are becoming a nation that is afraid to pray or admit that we pray. I loved that this was hung out for everyone to see, not hid away in a corner.
Our day at Epcot was also the day we said farewell to mom's floppy pink hat. It has been around the world, quite literally! I am pretty sure that it has been to Hawaii a few times, as well as Spain, several Florida trips, California, Oregon, etc! Mom decided that since we couldn't actually see her when she was wearing it, it must be time for it to go!
Saturday we packed up our bags and bid farewell to our warm and fabulous oasis before heading to the airport! I grabbed my travel buddy, and we were off!

I didn't know that the floppy pink hat had made its final farewell! Epcot looks like it was lots of fun, I'm glad that you got to go. And yeah, that trip home was long alright! But really that was the only downside of the entire week. It definitely goes down as an extremely successful vacation in my book! :)
I didn't know about the hat either. Hmm... the things you miss when you are chasing toddlers. :) I don't think I have seen that last picture of Maddie either. Fun fun. Thanks again for being Maddie's flying buddie. It sure made things easier only having one kid per adult. Love ya!
