Our hectic summer continued this week as we helped Karl and Liz move up to Idaho. Karl is finishing his Masters program, and will be doing an internship. Karl and Liz have been living with my parents for the last month as they prepared to move, so we have seen a lot of them. It was really hard to leave them knowing that we won't see them for a while!
Before we left Ivy came over to say one last good-bye to Maddie. The shared a bonding moment as they ate Captain Crunch and bananas.
Then we were off! On Saturday Liz discovered that her drivers license has been expired for SIX months. Since it was a holiday weekend and she couldn't do anything about it I drove her car up.
We spent the afternoon helping them clean and unpack. Afterward we went to dinner at Red Robin, which we all enjoyed.
The evening ended with me crying in the Red Robin parking lot as we hugged them and said our goodbye's. My mom and I listened to Catching Fire on the way home which turned out to be a very nice distraction!
We will miss you, but I hope that you will really enjoy your time in the great potato state!

Hey your wearing an IN & Out t-shirt. Did you finally make it there to eat?
Thanks for helping them move. I think it will be a little hard for all of us to have them in Idaho. I guess some traveling will be on the docket.
Obviously we were both working on our goodbye posts at the same time. I know they're not that far away, but it's still going to be a huge adjustment for all of us! If I'd been there I totally would have been bawling right along with you in the Red Robin parking lot... I'm glad you got to help them get settled in though.
haha I love my hair in that last picture. I guess I got to get used to this Idaho wind thing. Thank you so much for all your help in moving us... and my car :) Monday was a hard night but I know I will be seeing you... oh maybe tomorrow already. These next few weeks we will still see you a lot. We miss you guys already though.
