Dear Sparkly-Blue Cell Phone,
I know we have never really gotten along, but I have tried my best to make it work. I truly tried to adjust to your high-tech gadgets, and after a few months I wasn’t sending out blank text messages anymore (for the most part). I know you got tired of me not using all of your cool features, and dropping you quite frequently. However, when you decided to stop ringing last month, I knew it was time to move on. Seriously, what good is a cell phone that won’t ring?
So I am downgrading. Going back to a “grandma” cell phone. I am thrilled. It is far less complicated than you are. The people at the cell phone store looked at me like I was nuts when I tried to switch over. They asked me why I would switch from such a classy, beautiful cell phone to one that is really quite basic and unattractive. What they don’t realize is that there is so much more to life than looks.
So farewell, sparkly-blue cell phone. Thank you for your yearlong service (though you had none in my basement). It has been a learning experience to say the least.
Sincerely,
Katie

You and I sound like we are on the same page as far as cell phones. I still don't know how to use half of my features!
While my experience hasn't been nearly as painful as yours, those nice, simple grandma cells sure have a lot of great, simple qualities. I hope this one works out better for you!
yay! now when you drop it off your scooter you won't feel so bad when it gets all scratched up the next day you get it. oops. maybe this is my tale.
That is a tragic break up story. But I think you told that cell phone who's boss. I'm glad you found a phone that will (hopefully) make you happier then this one did.
I'm with you! I have a very basic cell phone, only for emergencies, and I feel bad because I kind of get mad at people if they have the nerve to actually call me on it.
LOL! I'm with you - cell phones should be for calling people (though texting can be fun and convenient). We need a picture of the new phone though. I hope this one works out for you.
