I have a problem. After straightening my hair I ALWAYS have a bunch of shorter hairs on top of my head that poke all over the place. I have always had this problem, but it seems to be getting worse as I have gotten older. I have tried tons of products. Above is a picture of the stuff that I have tried just in the last 6 months or so. From anti-frizz gel, to hairspray, to regular hand lotion. I have tried them all. I go into a beauty shop, tell them what I need, and they recommend a different product. I go home all excited to finally get rid of my lion's mane. Sadly, no product I have tried has been able to eliminate my frizz. Every product does manage to calm it slightly for a while, for which I am grateful. But after a few hours it wears off. Let me show you an example.
Before any product: (scary, I know)
After product:
Does anyone else have this problem? Can anyone suggest something I haven’t tried yet? I want a product that keeps my frizz down without plastering all my hair to my head, or looking greasy.
Thanks for your help!

Not sure if this works, but it should be free to try if you have it at home. I've read that you can rub a dry fabric softner sheet down your hair and it should help. Actually though, it doesn't sound like it would be strong enough to work. It's worth a try, though if you have one there.
Your hair is Beautiful! I think that is a pretty common problem though... that probably has a solution. My friend Sheena does hair and so I will ask her and get back to you!She is a genius so I am sure she will have the answer!Never Fear Katie!

Citre Shine! It works GREAT for me!
Personally, it's just going to be high maintenance. You are probably going to have to carry a little spritz water bottle (you can buy it at walmart in the isle where you buy travel stuff, they'll have the empty hairspray bottles and I would put a bit of water in it.) I would also probably mix a little hairspray in the bottle as well.
When you have a potty break I would spritz your hair to tame it down.
Oh Katie I love you! I have this very problem and it got the worst it's ever been this fall and onward! *UGh* I went home one day and my mom had bought some garnier oil shine and something (I don't know the name fully sorry). It worked pretty good . . . you have to use it sparingly though or you WILL look greasy. I dunno, hair is SO much fun . . . and besides I love your hair!

I Love all your blog posts - they always make me smile! I have to say though, about the hair - just wait...it gets worse!! :) With each of my babies I have lost a TON of hair about 3-4 months after giving birth. Then, as it all grows in I have at least 100 times the amount of short frizzies you do! Oh the joys - let me know if you really do find something that works! Also, glad the hear that you are in a good placement for student teaching! I have such good memories of that time - FUN STUFF!!
You're so cute! I thought I was the only one with this problem. I usually just spray some hair spray and call it good. But - I do have the advantage that problems with blonde hair can be harder to spot. :P
