Katie & Flirting

It's no secret that I have no idea how to flirt. Quite honestly, I would be willing to pay for a personal flirting trainer. But those don't exist. I am also blind when it comes to people flirting with me. I could really use someone following me around all the time letting me know when a guy is interested, because I am totally clueless.

However, on Saturday there was an incident that left little doubt that a boy was actually flirting with me (shocking, I know!) I was at a sandwich shop with some friends. I filled out my order form, thanked the kind boy for letting me know that I could have a lemon bar instead of a cookie if I preferred (which I did), then went to sit down. I was later told he had been flirting with me the whole time, and I had just been oblivious.

However, when I got my order and saw this, I finally caught on:

A wink-y face drawn on my order form. Hmmmm. There was also an extra lemon bar (RIGHT ON!) As I left he was sure to yell "BYE, KATIE!" It did make for a really funny dinner outing. I guess I didn't notice in the beginning because he looked like he was 17. Turns out he is actually 16. Ten years younger than me. Creepy. No worries, I will not be pursuing that!
