Yesterday started out as a completely normal day. I went to school, had a meeting with my principal, then did some cleaning and laundry when I got home. Nothing out of the ordinary. Around 6:00 last night I started to hurt. By 8:00 it was a pretty severe pain. Finally, at 9:00, I took a trip to the Emergency Room.
The last time I was in the Emergency Room I was 10. I remember nothing about it. Word to the wise - when you go to the ER, take a book or magazine with you. There is nothing to do while you wait, and wait, and wait. After several hours and multiple tests it was decided that I had a kidney stone, and I was sent home with some (wonderful) pain medication, and the name of a specialist to see to make sure that everything is okay.
I may not have the greatest immune system, but this last month has been out of control when it comes to health problems! When it rains it pours, and I am hoping this storm is about to pass!
A HUGE thanks to Laura who is teaching for me today! You're a lifesaver!

Thank goodness you were able to go in, get checked out, and get the meds that have helped so much! Seriously, your health has been out of control this month. I hope that this is the end of all your illnesses! And I hope things go well at the specialist today.
Oh no! I'm so sorry. I've heard kidney stones are so terrible...
I'm glad your okay! That sounds miserable. Trips to the ER are never fun.
Hey I know what your going through. I just got home from the doctor with the same problem. I have to do more test next week and we will see what they say. Happy Sick Day!
Oh no!!! Kidney stones are the worst ever! I'm so sorry and hope you feel better very, very soon.
Oh NO! That stinks. I have heard kidney stones are so painful!
Hope you feel better!!
Good luck! I hear kidney stones are pretty painful! (Be sure and drink a LOT of water.)
I am so glad you are starting to feel a little better then you were! Hopefully the worste part is over! We love you!
I feel for you. I know what the pain is like. I have had 12 and they are worse then having a kid. To me anyway.
Oh no!!!! My oldest brother has kidney stones - and YIKES! I've seen firsthand how rough it can be! Thank goodness for pain killers. Hang in there! Sometimes they can figure out what causes them (my brother can't have too much of certain foods like soda). I'm glad you were able to get somebody to cover your class (missing school is hard!). Hope things go well - keep us posted!
I hope you're doing better!
