my maria

You should have seen me the day I found these at my local grocery store! I wanted to do cartwheels up and down the aisles! Marias are a Brazilian staple. They can be eaten on their own, or used to create delectable deserts. I am particularly fond of something called Torta de Bolacha. Since Marias are the main ingredient, before I found these in the store I couldn't recreate my favorite dessert. But now I have found them. And at a very reasonable price! At $1.50, and with 140 cookies in the box, each one is about a penny. I just opened the box and snuck a Maria, and it was HEAVENLY. I am so HAPPY! Anybody up for Torta de Bolacha?
