SUCCESS!

YAY! I did it. Yes, folks, I successfully donated blood for the first time in a long time. Since my blood pressure has taken to being so low, I helped it raise a bit today so that they would take my blood. I ate alphabet soup for breakfast (Weird, I know, but canned soup is supper high in sodium), about an hour before I went I ate some Pringles, and then I ran up the two flights of stairs to get to the blood drive. And it worked! They took my blood, it went really quick, and I got a snack! And the lady who did the finger prick did way good, it didn’t even hurt that bad. Beyond the pen mark on my arm, you would never know anything had happened. I really like giving blood! :)

This afternoon was great too. I spent the afternoon playing with my beautiful niece. It had been about a week since I had seen her, and I swear she grew during that time! She refused to show me her new trick of clapping, but she did have fun trying to shove her binky in my mouth!

I don't understand how you can do that. I hate needles. Your niece is so cute.

Congrats on your successful blood-donation venture. I hope the binky is as yummy as she makes it look! ;) And cute picture!!!
