I've been gone for a while. It seems like that has been the trend of 2011.
Last week I got the flu. No fun. For two days I went to school in the middle of the night to do substitute plans. The worst part of being a teacher is having to make substitute plans while you are sick! I really lucked out with the sub. She was great, work was completed, my kids did well, and my room looked perfect when I got back.
However, while I was gone a little boy started a rumor that I was gone because I had died. It really shook up one girl in particular.
I can assure you that I am well and alive. Just busy! I promise I will be back soon!

Sometimes I feel like I am half dead teaching, but I have never been declared dead. That is pretty funny. Doing sub plans when you are sick is the worst!

Super funny! I'm glad you're not dead. I TOTALLY understand the pain of sub plans. It's miserable. I once sent my hubby to school and told him over the phone what to do to get sub plans ready 'cause I was THAT sick. The things we teachers do....
