I have only two days left with my cute second graders, and I am a bit heartbroken over the fact! Yes, I am excited to work in the fourth grade, but I just love these kids! During writing time one of my students wrote about me. I thought it was so fun that I am going to share it with all of you as well.
And for the record, I do not go by Ms. Katie, but this is the internet. Also, I have had a lot of people ask me why I go by Ms. and not Miss. It's really quite simple, it is what the university put on my name tag. It works!

This is adorable! I know I'm going to miss my placement so much, it has gone by so fast! And yes, I finally put a blog up :) We all need to get together again
I like your orange hair... and I think I am going to start calling you Ms. Katie from now on.
Oh my heck, that is so funny. I laughed out loud!
Students give the best compliments (and maybe the most honest reality checks)! They don't have a clue how old you are and sometimes they make your day when they ask you if you are twenty or thirty years younger than you are. Of course, they also might ask if you are 80!
How darling and absolutely correct (although I'd NEVER call your hair orange...). I hope that the 4th graders are as fun as 2nd graders have been. I love your funny moments you share with us from class!
I'm sorry you have to leave your second graders. :( I kinda wish I could leave a couple of my classes too! :P
