GIVEAWAY Time!!!

All right folks, it's a week late, but it is time for the Christmas Giveaway. Up for grabs are these lovely items:

  • Wee Sing For Christmas (CD & Book of Lyrics)
  • Mr. Christmas by Roger Hargreaves
  • Little Miss Christmas by Roger Hargreaves
I was so excited when I saw this CD that I bought one for my classroom and one for this giveaway. I will admit, I don't love it as much as I thought I would, though my students are big fans. The first half of the CD has religious songs, and the last half is the Santa stuff. If you have kids, they will probably like it!

To Enter: Leave me a comment connecting me to your blog. In your comment, please share one of your very favorite recipes. Giveaway closes at 12:00 NOON on Sunday, December 5th. I will draw a winner on Sunday night and get the winner the prize as soon as possible. If you live close you will get a hand delivery, and if you live more than 20 minutes away from me, I will mail it :-)

Everybody enter - and don't forget to include your favorite recipe!

Love your blog, check it often. One of my favorite recipes is:
Crock pot Chicken Gravy

4 chicken breasts
salt and pepper
onion flakes
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 can broccoli cheese soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
8 oz. cream cheese
1 pkg. Italian dressing
1/2 can water

Cut chicken breast into bite size pieces into a crock pot and add everything else. Cut cream cheese into little cubes.

Cook on high for 1 hour and then turn to low and cook for 3 to 4 hours.

This is soo good, you can serve it over rice, potatoes, or pasta.

Yay for a fun contest! I'll post about it on my blog to help spread the word (though I don't have very many readers these days.) You know this is one of my no-fail absolute favorite recipes...

Hamilton's Whipped Sweet Potatoes

3 large sweet potatoes
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup melted butter
1 tsp vanilla

Bake and peel or boil sweet potatoes. Whip together with sugar, eggs, butter and vanilla. Spread in a 9x13 baking dish. Top with the following mixture:

1/3 cup melted butter
1/3 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 Tbs cinnamon

Bake at 350* for 25 minutes. Enjoy this little bit of heaven! :)

Add me to the drawing. I was trying to think of a recipe that I feed you when you came to visit but I can't remember what I feed you so here's a Manicotti one.

Manicotti
8 oz jumbo shells
8 oz mozzarella cheese
15 oz cottage cheese
32 oz spaghetti sauce
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
2 tbs parsley
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Cook shells to package directions & drain. Combine all cheeses, parsley, salt & pepper. Spread a little sauce on bottom of 9x13 pan. Spoon mixture into shells and put in pan. Then spoon the rest of the sauce over the shells. Add a little mozzarella on top. Cover and cook for 40 mins. 350 degrees. Remove foil and cook 15 mins more.

I'll share two recipes....and they're both incredibly easy to make (otherwise I couldn't cook them) :P

Recipe #1
Sloppy Joes (spicy not sweet)

brown 1 pound hamburger
Add one can tomato soup
Add one can cream of mushroom soup
Add 2 Tablespoons chili powder

Simmer 10 min

RECIPE #2
Kalua Pork

Put a big ol' pork roast in the crock pot (any cut, bone-in or boneless, doesn't matter)

Add sea salt & liquid smoke

Cook all day! Believe it or not - but 3 ingredient taste AMAZING!

I gave you a whole cookbook last year with all of my recipes in it... does that count? I don't have any newbies right now.
