I was still in the mission field when my sister first wrote about the “Twilight” series. She was kind to me, and didn’t say much, just that she had a great series that she had become addicted to and was excited to have me read it when I got home. She doesn’t really get caught up in many books, so I was immediately intrigued. My mom then wrote me about the series, saying that when my sister had recommended the books to her, she had been really skeptical about the whole vampire romance. She then read it and became just as addicted as my sister (she even went to the midnight release of Eclipse. If you know my mom, you know she really had to have liked these books!) They were careful not to give them to me right away after returning – my time was short, starting school and work and getting back into the swing of things- so they waited. A few weeks ago I finally couldn’t handle them talking about it anymore (and after three other friends recommended them to me), I asked them if I could borrow the books. They gladly handed them over.
I spent the next two weeks devouring the three books. I quickly became enthralled up in the unique plot. I think I was still reading the first one when I stayed up late one night reading them, procrastinating studying for the test I had the next day. I rationalized that I would wake up early the next day to study. And I did wake up early, but then after I got ready really quick and told myself that I could read for just five minutes. My self discipline really stinks, and I read until I had to go to school. Definitely not the highest test score I have received!
I finished all three in about two weeks (but I had quite a bit of schoolwork to do so it really cut back on reading time) I found it easy to get caught up in Bella and Edward’s story. I really don’t know which of the three was my favorite, I think that they all play their own part, so I can’t pick one! I would definitely recommend them as a fun, romantic series, though I am not sure I would put it in the Young Adult category.
So now I am among the many anxiously awaiting the fourth book, the movie (hope they make it clean) and *sigh* my own Edward (though if he isn’t a vampire, I am TOTALLY okay with that :)

I told you that you would love them. I can't wait for the 4th one to come out. I was just like you I was always saying to myself just 5 mins. more to read and then I couldn't put it down. I am so glad that you read it. Give me a call sometime and we can talk about it.
I'm totally keeping my eyes open for your Edward -- though he must have many Jacob qualities to be worthy of being sent your way! I'm TRULY glad that you enjoyed it so much, and that we can all go to the midnight release together in August!!!
